Congratulations Alex

Today is the day my son, Alex, graduates from high school.  This is the day parents look forward to.  When our children are little we wish the time away.  We say to ourselves that life will be easier when they grow up.  When they misbehave or are just driving us crazy we say "I can't wait until they grow up and move out".  As I sit here getting ready for his graduation I can honestly say the time flies.  Before you know it your little toddler who won't sleep, or the 2 year old who throws temper tantrums and bites and won't eat is going to be grown up in the blink of an eye.  Hold on tight to those babies.  Enjoy every minute.  It is hard to see past the moment you are in but in the long run it won't matter if your house was immaculate or the laundry is perfectly folded.  Spend every second you can with them, take walks, read books, dance in your living room, you can never get this time back but you will have plenty of time to have a perfect house.

So before I get too emotional and mess up my make up I want to say congratulations to all of the graduates today.  Today is the first of many amazing firsts in your adult life.  Have fun, be smart and enjoy every second it.
